Panel builder: subcontractor or technical business partner?

Very often panel builders are mostly playing a role of with little influence on technical or commercial aspects; they are not close enough to consultants or architects.
However, our profession is key to handle the switchboard that is the “heart” and the “brain “of an electrical installation; and we deal with serious subjects safety (persons & goods) or industrial risks.

We have to enhance the credit and visibility of our profession by resisting whenever contractors try to optimize the costs and decrease comfort and usage features. (more…)

In France the major panel builders have created a in the 10 past years; they are in general limited in content & functionalities.

The aim of these is to push information, about the products, the competencies and the organisation of the company. Sometimes they also have some links to professional events or some monthly generic information files, but indeed these sites propose very little interactivity with the users.
